95th Congress to be Recorded Live, Available for Download
If you have ever experienced a superb technical session or keynote address and just wished you could hear it again (and again) or have the whole thing readily replayable for a coworker who wasn't able to attend, the National Safety Council has got you covered. The entire Congress--every session of every track, including more than 180 sessions and keynote addresses--will be recorded live and available for purchase and download. Audio CD-ROM recordings of the 2007 sessions will be sold on Level 3 of the Grand Concourse Oct. 15-17, and afterward via NSC's Web site, www.nsc.org, and through www.intelliquestmedia.com/store/formats.php.
The handy audio souvenirs are made possible because of NSC's partnership with IntelliQuest Media Inc., a Brandon, Fla.-based company that records such conferences worldwide (its slogan: "The next best thing to being there"). Depending on format availability, orders can be quickly downloaded from IntelliQuest's site as an MP3 or delivered on disk. Whenever available, IntelliQuest also includes speaker presentation materials such as PowerPoints, handouts, and abstracts. All sessions are digitally recorded and duplicated for the best possible sound and visual quality, IntelliQuest says. Last year's entire Congress is available on MP3 CD-ROM for $259, for example, with individual sessions and keynotes on CDs going for $20 each.
