Air Movement Association to Sign MOU for CRP Expansion in Singapore

The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA), a not-for-profit association of manufacturers of related air system equipment, said it would sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore-based AFMA Technologies PTE LTD under which AFMA will act as AMCA's agent in Singapore administering AMCA's Certified Ratings Program there.

AMCA Executive Director Barbara Morrison and AFMA General Manager Mdm. Goh Swee Lee are to sign the MOU on Sept. 5 at AMCA headquarters in Arlington Heights, Ill. After the signing, before their return to Singapore, the AFMA delegation will receive extensive training on the operation of the AMCA Laboratory and Certified Ratings Program (CRP), Sept. 5-11, AMCA said. The association said the agreement was generated by AMCA's continued efforts to expand the CRP in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and India.

"Many benefits will be derived by all parties; companies requiring access to a Certified Ratings Program will need to be licensed by only one organization for a reasonable fee," Morrison said. "AFMA will aid with expansion of the AMCA Certified Ratings Program, [as] a company or consultant in Singapore that will assist in administering the Certified Ratings Program and act as an AMCA International authorized agent."
