Want to Start New a Career? Expo's Career Center Offers Many Employment Opportunities
Job seekers will have a unique opportunity this year during the expo: the Nexsteps Career Center, ASSE's job placement center, will be available for attendees to post their resumes or view postings by companies seeking safety, health, and environmental professionals. Employers also are encouraged to stop by and post their positions or browse through ASSE's resume database.
ASSE student members can benefit from an entry-level SH&E job fair in which employers are allowed to meet and interview potential candidates for entry-level positions. This opportunity allows students to hone their interview skills and potentially secure employment upon graduation.
A recent ASSE news release reports that from December 2006 to May of this year, the number of jobs posted on ASSE's Nexsteps job board Web site, www.nexsteps.org, increased by 71 percent.
