Government Printing Office Celebrates National Safety Month with Book Sale
The U.S. Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C., reminds everyone that June is national safety month and that there's no better time to think about all kinds of safety hazards, including those in the workplace. As part of its observance, the GPO also reminds readers that it sells a wide variety of official government publications dealing with key topics and regulations in the area of occupational safety and health--and that many of those titles are now on sale at the GPO Web site,

New titles are added to the site regularly, and supplies of some are limited. As of this writing, offerings range from a "Hand and Power Tools" book--which, for .81 cents, presents to employees and employers a 30-page summary of the basic safety procedures and safeguards associated with hand and portable power tools--to "Reclamation Safety and Health Standards"--which, for $61 describes in 536 pages the safety and health requirements for all Bureau of Reclamation activities and operations. Several "Code of Federal Regulations Title 29--Labor" tomes are also listed.
