FMCSA, ATRI Offer May 14 Webinar on Trucks' Stability Controls

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the American Trucking Associations' ATRI (American Transportation Research Institute) will hold the second in their series of webinars at 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Eastern time on May 14 to educate trucking firms on the value of on-board safety systems. This one will focus on two leading stability control systems.

The session will explore return on investment, maintenance issues, and how drivers feel about them. Trucking company representatives can listen and watch the FMCSA-sponsored webinar from any U.S. location that has Internet and telephone access, ATA says. Tracy McDonald, distribution engineer for Praxair Canada Inc., and Don Osterburg, vice president of Safety & Driver Training for Schneider National, will be the presenters. Both companies have installed roll stability control systems, and both will discuss the benefits and practical experiences their drivers have reported.

To register, email [email protected] by May 9 and include the words "SCS Webinar" in the subject line. Confirmation notices will be e-mailed within 24 hours and will contain contact information.
