OSHA Announces 'Beat the Heat' Photo Contest Winners

OSHA has revealed the winners of its "Beat the Heat" photo contest, highlighting creative strategies to protect workers from extreme heat hazards.

OSHA’ has revealed the winners of its national "Beat the Heat" photo contest. 

According to a recent release, the contest drew over 400 entries from 114 participants across 33 states and Washington, D.C. The goal of this annual competition is to highlight creative strategies to protect workers from extreme heat hazards.

A panel of experts evaluated submissions based on originality, clarity, creativity, photo quality and suitability for OSHA publications. Eighteen winners were selected, representing various industries and regions across the United States. These include organizations such as Sunland Asphalt & Construction in Phoenix, Arizona; Rogers-O’Brien Construction in Dallas, Texas; and Savage Co. in Midvale, Utah.

By recognizing the winning entries, OSHA hopes to encourage widespread implementation of heat safety practices, safeguarding workers against heat-related risks both indoors and outdoors as extreme temperatures increasingly impact job sites nationwide. OSHA stated that these winning photos spotlight effective workplace safety strategies and also serve as inspiration for others to adopt similar measures.
