The International Agency for Research on Cancer is searching for a new director. The WHO agency plans to appoint the director in May 2018 for a five-year term that will begin on Jan. 1, 2019; the selected candidate may be eligible for a second five-year term.

The deadline for applying is Feb. 15, 2018.

IARC is a leading cancer research agency that is based in Lyons, France.

The position's 2018 gross salary is $176,292 annually, and there is a cost-of-living allowance and benefits that include health insurance, an education grant, home leave, and six weeks of annual leave.

The application form asks whether the applicant and his/her spouse or dependent children have ever had any official dealings with WHO or have had any employment or professional relationship with any entity involved in the manufacture, production, distribution, or sale of tobacco or pharmaceutical products.
