NTSB Video Commemorates 50 Years of Safety Advances

The safety board released a YouTube video highlighting some of the changes.

The National Transportation Safety Board is commemorating its 50th anniversary with a new video showcasing transportation safety improvements that have been established since the agency's inception in 1967.

A press release notes that the NTSB has made more than 14,500 safety recommendations, and more than 80 percent of them have been utilized. Improvements have been made in a number of transportation modes: aviation, railroad, highway, marine, and pipeline.
