AIHA Works with OSHA to Promote National Safety Stand-Down

The promotion is happening during Safe and Sound Week

The AIHA has announced it is supporting the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction, as well as co-sponsoring Safe + Sound Week. The association also announced it is working with OSHA to promote these events.

"We are honored to be working with OSHA to promote these important initiatives," said Steven E. Lacey, PhD, CIH, CSP, president of AIHA. "Working with our federal and association partners, we aim to raise awareness of workplace health and safety through increased dialogue between employers and employees.  If you haven't already planned an event at your work site, there's still time."

The National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction is a voluntary event for employers to discuss safety with employees, while Safe + Sound Week allows companies to demonstrate a commitment to safety and health through management and worker participation via collaboration on ideas.
