Flight Cancellations Down From Previous Year in February

Carriers canceled 1.5 percent of scheduled domestic flights in February 2017

The DOT has released its April 2017 Air Travel Consumer Report, which is made up of data for February 2017. According to the report, carriers canceled 1.5 percent of their scheduled domestic flights in February 2017, a slight improvement over the 1.6 percent rate in February of 2016 and better than the 2.0 rate in January 2017.

On-time arrivals appeared at a rate of 82.6 percent, down from 83.6 percent in February 2016 but up from 76.0 percent mark in January 2017.
