Washington L&I VPP Seminar Set for March 30

Continuous improvement and success stories from Voluntary Protection Program sites in Washington state are on tap at a March 30 all-day event in Tumwater, Wash., home of the Washington Department of Labor & Industries (L&I). It is hosting the free seminar so employers can learn from companies around the state that have been recognized for safety excellence.

The companies that will explain how they've made their workplaces as safe as possible and created a culture of safety include Trident Seafoods, CMC Biologics, NuStar Energy, Nucor Steel, the Washington Onsite Sewage Association, and K-Solutions Law. The keynote speaker is Rick Gleason of the University of Washington Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences.
