FAA Suspends Certificate of Atlanta Technical College

The agency says the school failed to maintain approved grade, attendance, and make-up reports for students.

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued an order to suspend the certificate of Atlanta Technical College (ATC). The school's Air Agency Certificate is suspended pending compliance.

The FAA reported ATC failed to maintain approved grade, attendance, and make-up reports for students in its Aviation Maintenance Technology program. Grade records were either not maintained or incomplete and were not signed by instructors. Students who had not made up absences were allowed to move to the next lesson, according to the agency.

The agency also said ATC has continued to deliver exit exams and certificates of completion to former students when it was not authorized to do so.
