HHS Announces Phase 1 Winners of the Move Health Data Forward Challenge

The proposals are designed to help consumers share health data easily and securely

The HHS’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has announced the Phase1 winners of the Move Health Data Forward Challenge, according to a report. Winners were selected based on proposals for using application programming interfaces (API) to let consumers share personal health information with providers, family members and caregivers.

“As health information technology becomes more accessible, consumers are playing an even greater role in how and when their health information is exchanged or shared,” said Dr. Vindell Washington, national coordinator for health information technology. “The Move Health Data Forward Challenge will help consumers unleash their health data and put it to work.”

The Phase 1 winners will receive a $5,000 award. They are: TrustedCare and ARM, CedarBridge Group LLC, EMR Direct, Foxhall Wythe LLC, kreateloT, Technatomy & Koncero, Lush Group, Inc., Live and Leave Well, LLC, SpunJohn Consultants, LLC, Thoughtkeg Application Services Compilation, and Resilient Network Systems, Webshield & SAFE Biopharma.
