Time's Running Out to Submit AIHce 2017 PDC Proposals

The deadline to submit a proposal to present at the June 4-7 conference in Seattle is Sept. 14, so get moving if you're interested.

Less than a week remains before the Sept. 14 deadline to submit a proposal to present at the June 4-7, 2017, American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Expo that will take place in Seattle. Anyone interested in presenting a technical session, a Professional Development Course, an Ignite session, a poster, or a case study or scientific research presentation needs to get the proposal submitted soon.

PDCs are the longest -- they are "in-depth, concentrated, formal learning experiences designed to broaden knowledge and enhance technical competence," acording to AIHA, and can last for a half day, a full day, or two days. Technical sessions last an hour, concern OEHS topics, and may be delivered in any format, from panels to workshops, etc.

The case studies and scientific research presentations are 20 minutes long. Three 20-minute presentations addressing a similar general topic will be arranged together to make a single 60-minute session.

The popular Ignite sessions last just five minutes, with each speaker using about 20 slides. "It's a personal story about something you've accomplished, something you're passionate about, something you love or even something you can't stand," as AIHA explains.
