Tennessee Truck Driver Considered an Imminent Hazard to Public Safety
The driver, Randall Weddle, was served a federal order on June 22
The FMCSA has declared Randall J. Weddle, a Tennessee-based driver, to be an imminent hazard to public safety and has ordered him to stop driving, according to a report.
Weddle was driving on Route 17 in Knox County, Maine, when the trailer crossed the centerline, tipped over, and started scattering lumber across the road. Weddle was traveling at 80 miles-per-hour in a 55 miles-per-hour zone.
The driver of a pick-up truck was killed in the accident, as well as the driver of a minivan. A sobriety test detected alcohol on Weddle’s breath.
