Enhanced Service Site Launched for Veterans and Transitioning Service Members

Veterans.gov aims to connect job seekers and employers that are looking to hire veterans.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Veterans' Employment and Training Service has announced the launch of an updated website, veterans.gov. The website will bring together job banks, state employment offices, American Job Centers, opportunities in industry, and employer assistance.

"There are many resources for veterans seeking employment and for those employers eager to hire veterans, but it's often difficult for both groups to know where to start," said Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment and Training Mike Michaud. "Veterans.gov brings those resources together in one place, making it an effective first stop on the path to meaningful employment."

Job seekers can use it to connect with one-on-one assistance in the nearly 2,500 American Job Centers in communities around the country; explore online job listings; search career paths by industry, by similarity to military careers, or by keyword; learn how to start a business; and more. Employers can use it to connect with our regional employer outreach specialists; post job descriptions and openings; get a free hiring toolkit titled "America's Heroes at Work"; and find other resources.
