More people are employed in Britain's private sector, 26.1 million, than ever before, new official figures from the government showed on March 16. Less than 72 hours later, however, David Cameron's cabinet lost its Work and Pensions secretary, Iain Duncan Smith, when he resigned in protest of cuts to disability benefits, called Personal Independent Payment benefits, that are proposed in the government's new budget.

Total full-time employment in Britain rose by about 500,000 to 31.42 million in the past year, according to the numbers from the Department for Work & Pensions.

Cameron picked Stephen Crabb to replace Duncan Smith, who also has clashed with Cameron over whether Britain should stay in the European Union -- Duncan Smith supports withdrawing from the EU.
