Registration Open for DARPA's Future Technology Forum

The agency opened general registration for the event on June 10, promising it will be "a fast-paced gathering at which world-renowned thinkers and innovators from inside and outside DARPA will offer perspectives on where today's advances are heading."

The America's Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Mo., will be the site of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Sept. 9-11 "Wait, What?" future technology forum. DARPA opened general registration for the event on June 10, promising it will be "a fast-paced gathering at which world-renowned thinkers and innovators from inside and outside DARPA will offer perspectives on where today's advances are heading."

The event's information page lists plenary speakers, breakout sessions, DARPA presentations, and information about the venue.

"New research and technology will fundamentally change what's possible in the years ahead,' said DARPA Director Arati Prabhakar. "At 'Wait, What?' a wide range of creative scientists and engineers will share their technical insights and explore our possible futures."

Space will be limited, according to the agency's online information, which describes the meeting as being "for forward-thinking scientists, engineers and other innovators interested in sharing ideas with some of today's most inventive individuals working on cold atoms, live brains, small satellites, complex systems, human and artificial intelligence, and the topology of big data, among other topics."
