Massachusetts to Receive $3M to Help Laid-Off Workers

The funding has been awarded to the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.

Massachusetts has been given $3 million from the National Emergency Grant fund in order to provide reemployment and training services to individuals impacted by layoffs from six companies located in the Metro South/West Workforce Investment Area of Massachusetts, the U.S. Department of Labor reported

The money will help serve 400 workers and will address various needs while preparing them for jobs in advanced manufacturing, clean energy, green industries, healthcare, and information technologies.
