'America's At-Risk Workers' Event Set for May 6

Preceding the symposium will be an announcement of the findings of a NIOSH study, undertaken with ASSE, that provides a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that affect vulnerable Spanish-speaking workers.

The American Society of Safety Engineers will host a North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week symposium on May 6 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., bringing together a variety of stakeholders from OSHA, NIOSH, and beyond to help expand attention to at-risk workers. ASSE's manager of government affairs & policy, Dave Heidorn, said the event would not be possible without the support of OSHA through ASSE's alliance with the agency.

Preceding the symposium will be an announcement of the findings of a NIOSH study, undertaken with ASSE, that provides a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that affect vulnerable Spanish-speaking workers.
