OSHA Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee to Hold March Meeting

OSHA schedules the meeting for the advisory committee and its work groups March 10-11 in Washington, D.C.

OSHA has announced it will be holding a meeting of its Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee in Washington, D.C. on March 11. The WPAC work groups (from the transportation industry and the Best Practices and Corporate Culture Work Group) will meet the day before, March 10. The March 11 committee meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the U.S. Department of Labor Building, 200 Constitution Ave.

According to OSHA, the WPAC was created to advise the secretary of labor and the assistant secretary for occupational safety and health on ways to improve the fairness, efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of OSHA's whistleblower protection activities.

Requests to speak and comments can be submitted electronically at www.regulations.gov. In addition, the tentative agenda includes a talk from Dr. David Michaels, assistant secretary of labor for OSHA.
