OSHA Cites Textile Manufacturing Company for 21 Violations

OSHA has cited Foss Manufacturing, a nonwoven textile manufacturing company based in Hampton, N.H., for 21 serious workplace safety violations, according to a press release from OSHA. The inspection was done on April 24 following a worker's complaint.
The company allegedly exposed its employees to numerous hazards, including potential electrocution, arc flash, burns, amputation, laceration injuries, crushing, hearing loss, confined spaces, and more. The specific violations included alleged failure to protect a worker exposed to an arc flash where equipment had not been deenergized, failure to provide fall protection equipment, failure to provide a faceshield and insulated gloves, failure to identify confined workspace hazards, and failure to provide guarding on moving machine parts.
