Manufacturing Day Webinar Planned

The Oct. 8 webinar, "Healthier, Safer and More Engaged: Your Guide to Creating Total Worker Health," will address safety and health challenges faced by small and mid-sized manufacturers. CNA and NIOSH are co-hosting the event.

CNA is celebrating the fourth annual Manufacturing Day by co-hosting a webinar with NIOSH on Oct. 8 titled "Healthier, Safer and More Engaged: Your Guide to Creating Total Worker HealthTM," which will address challenges faced by small and mid-sized manufacturers to keep employees safe, healthy, and productive in today's economy. Whether the government shutdown affects NIOSH's ability to participate is unclear.

More than 600 manufacturers hosted open houses, public tours, career workshops, and other events in connection with the Oct. 4 Manufacturing Day, according to CNA, an insurance provider. The free webinar will take place at 3 p.m. Eastern time.

"At CNA, we recognize that manufacturing plays a critical role in the U.S. economy. That is why we work together with key members of the industry to promote Manufacturing Day," said Steve Earley, vice president, Manufacturing, CNA. "Through programs like the webinar, we hope to attract attention and new talent to manufacturing while helping support the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry."

Manufacturing Day is co-produced by several organizations, including Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International® (FMA), and the National Association of Manufacturers. CNA has been the preferred business insurance provider of the FMA for more than 20 years.</
