New DOL Site Offers Business Resources

With the new Business Center, companies can utilize online resources to search for, train, and educate their employees.

Employers can now look to the Department of Labor's website for new resources to train and educate employees. The Business Center is an online suite of resources to help them improve and retain a workforce.

Using the Business Center, businesses can utilize American Job Centers near them to find qualified candidates for open positions. Plus, the site provides connections to local training and educational institutions. "These resources will help educate employers about our nation's work force development system and put the resources they need to find and hire qualified workers right at their fingertips," said Jane Oates, assistant secretary of labor for employment and training, on the department's website.

Users of the site also can find occupational certifications, and it has a section dedicated to integrating veterans into the workforce. On March 27 at 2 p.m. EDT, the Employment and Training Administration will be conducting a webinar to explain and highlight the tools this program has to offer.
