The Pampered Chef of Addison, Ill., is recalling them because the blade can detach and poses a laceration hazard.

The Pampered Chef is recalling about 286,000 garlic slicers after receiving 23 reports of the blades detaching during use, including one report of a consumer whose finger was cut by a detached blade. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall March 7.
