The Washington state Department of Labor & Industries announced it will award a 24-month contract to Consilience Software to develop the Occupational Health Management System used by the Washington state department to track health care delivery for injured workers.
The system will be used by L&I's Centers of Occupational Health and Education and other programs. The first phase of the multi-million dollar project will be completed in mid-2013, according to its news release, which said L&I selected Consilience based on its successful history of supporting government and private-sector case management clients.
The new system is part of a multi-year plan to improve health care for injured workers, and it will allow health care providers that use best practices in treating injured workers to earn financial and non-financial incentives, such as streamlined authorizations, accoording to the agency.
