Oregon OSHA Moving to Adopt Construction Rule Changes
The move to harmonize with recent federal OSHA changes in demolition and construction regulations will be made in February.
Oregon OSHA has proposed amendments to some of its regulations to match what federal OSHA recently enacted. The state plan will amend 1926.800 to cover all cranes and derricks used in construction under subpart CC and will broaden the 1926.1400(c)(4) exemption for digger derricks, as federal OSHA recently did.
The changes' adoption tentatively will be in February 2013, according to the OR-OSHA notice.
