Human Factors Focus for 8th Annual CHC Summit
Three experts will present a Talent, Training & Trust plenary session at the March 26-28 event in Vancouver, Canada, and Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger is scheduled to speak.
The eighth annual CHC Safety & Quality Summit taking place March 26-28 at the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina in Vancouver, Canada, is a premier event for the helicopter industry and aviation as a whole. The year's program features a Talent, Training & Trust plenary session by a panel of three experts, as well as a dinner speech by Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, the pilot who successfully ditched US Airways Flight 1549 into the Hudson River on Jan. 15, 2009, after the aircraft collided with a flock of birds and lost power in its engines.
The expert panelists are Tom Casey on the topic of talent, Dr. Tony Kern speaking on training, and Stephen M.R. Covey on the topic of trust. Casey is the author of "Talent Readiness -- The Future is Now: Leading a Multi-Generational Workforce." Kern, a retired U.S. Air Force command pilot, is CEO of Convergent Performance and the author of five books about pilot performance. Covey, son of Dr. Stephen R. Covey, is the author of the bestseller "The SPEED of Trust" and former CEO of Covey Leadership Center.
The event's program includes sessions on safety management systems, pilot fatigue, training, maintenance, aviation safety in the oil & gas sector, and accident analysis.
