June Seminar Examines Fire Protection for Warehouse Storage

The Fire Protection Research Foundation and NFPA will host the event on June 27 in Paris in cooperation with several co-sponsors.

A seminar set for June 27 at the Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris, France, will offer the latest findings about fire protection for warehouse storage facilities. The National Fire Protection Association and its affiliated Fire Protection Research Foundation are presenting the one-day "Global Research Update: High Challenge Storage Protection" seminar in cooperation with the European Fire Sprinkler Network conference.

Products including aerosols, lithium ion batteries, and flammable and combustible liquids are increasing the challenge of fire protection for warehouses around the world, said Kathleen Almand, executive director of the foundation. The seminar will help participants improve the safety posture of such facilities by featuring presentations from the insurance industry and global property owners.

Honorary co-sponsors of the seminar are Britain's Health and Safety Laboratory; INERIS, the French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks; and the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden.
