CEO Summit to Showcase Motivation Best Practices

The half-day program during The Motivation Show will include two morning educational sessions and a CEO luncheon.

The Motivation Show is drawing nearer, including Return on Performance magazine's half-day CEO Summit program starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. Titled "The CEO Summit: Creating Organizational Value Through Partnership With People," the program will include two morning educational sessions, a CEO luncheon, and the opportunity to visit the Exhibit Hall in the afternoon. The Motivation Show takes place Oct. 4-6 at Chicago's McCormick West.

Return on Performance is the official magazine of the Incentive Marketing Association and the voice of the $46 billion incentive marketing industry. It is published four times per year and features best practice strategies and research to engage, align, and motivate employees, business partners, and customers to yield measurable corporate results.

This will be the inaugural CEO Summit. It will begin with The New Leadership Model: Driving Business Growth in a People-Led Economy, presented by The Forum: Business Results Through People, which is affiliated with Northwestern University. Michelle M. Smith, CPIM, CRP, vice president of Business Development for O.C. Tanner, then will present groundbreaking research from The Forum that proposes a new model for leadership focused on "enrichment" rather than engagement.

The next session will be "Success Uncovered – How the FORTUNE World's Most Admired Companies Sustain Performance," presented by Hay Group. Tom McMullen, vice president and North American Reward Practice Leader for Hay Group, and Mark Royal, senior consultant for Hay Group Insight, will explain how to use the practices of the World's Most Admired Companies in any organization.

The CEO luncheon begins at noon.

"ROP and The Motivation Show are both dedicated to informing and educating C-level executives, including CEOs, CFOs, COOs and senior managers, on how incentives and recognition awards can be used as a management tool to improve performance," said Pete Erickson, managing director of The Motivation Show. "We think this is a natural partnership for both organizations and look forward to offering the CEO Summit each year at The Motivation Show as an integral part of our education offering."
