AEM Offers Hydraulic Excavator Safety Manual in Spanish
The manual from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers was expanded and updated last year.
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has developed a Spanish version of its Hydraulic Excavator Safety Manual in a convenient "flip-style" Spanish/English format. The manual outlines safe machine operation and maintenance guidelines for easy comprehension, AEM says.
AEM updated and expanded it last year. Both the Spanish/English and English-only versions include a new section on trenching safety. Expanded or additional material includes safe mounting and dismounting; utility locating practices; attachment installation; installation, use and maintenance of quick-couplers; and use of newer safety design features such, as gate or armrest-based hydraulic control locks.
AEM safety manuals illustrate typical work site and equipment hazards, along with safe practices in equipment preparation, operation, maintenance, and transport. Training materials from the association cover more than 40 types of equipment used in agricultural, construction, forestry, and utility applications, and all are available at www.aem.org in the AEM store.
