CICB Opens New Training Facility in Houston
Besides two classrooms that seat up to 40, cranes and rigging gear for hands-on training, practice sessions, and exams are on site.
Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (800-327-1386) of Orlando, Fla., has moved its Houston teaching facility to a new location inside the Holt Crane & Equipment Link-Belt Complex at Loop 610 East and Homestead Road. Besides two classrooms that seat up to 40, cranes and rigging gear for hands-on training, practice sessions, and exams are on site, including small hydraulic fixed cab, large hydraulic swing cab, lattice boom, and overhead cranes.
CICB's Safety Training Programs are available there or at customers' sites. These include operator training on all types of lifting equipment, crane and rigging inspector training, rigger and signalperson training, manager and supervisor training for lifting operations safety, and train-the-trainer training for operators, riggers, signalpersons, and inspectors. CICB also offers monthly classes for National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) preparatory training and written and practical exams for Mobile Crane Operators, Rigger Level I and II, and Signalperson.
"We are confident that these new teaching facilities at Holt's Link-Belt distributorship are among the best in the industry," said CICB President & CEO Craig Epperson. "The availability of various types of cranes and lifting gear for supervisor, operator, rigger, signalperson and inspector training along with access to Bishop Lifting Product's rigging and fabrication facility a short distance away will give students a learning experience that is second to none."
