Culture Change on OR-OSHA Conference Agenda

The fifth annual Blue Mountain Occupational Safety and Health Conference in Pendleton, June 15, is focused on employee involvement and transforming workplace safety culture.

Oregon's Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) is hosting the fifth annual Blue Mountain Occupational Safety and Health Conference on June 15 with the focus on improving on-the-job safety and employee involvement. The event will take place at the Pendleton Convention Center in Pendleton and will include sessions taught in Spanish.

Keynote speaker Todd Conklin will present "Preventing the Human Error: What's Stopping Us!" -– a look at what's behind human performance and why the perception of human error needs to change. Conklin is a senior advisor to the associate director at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

Other sessions will cover hazard identification, all-terrain vehicle safety (including a demonstration), and food manufacturing safety, with an expo showcasing new safety and health products and services.

Registration for the event is $50, which includes lunch.
