Square D Services' Demo Van Hits the Road
Starting this week in Florida, the Services & Solutions Demo Van displays arc flash mitigation products and equipment life extension solutions and offers free lunch-and-learn seminars about both topics.
Schneider Electric announced the start of Square D Services’ 2011 schedule for its Services & Solutions Demo Van, a rolling showroom that begins its cross-country trek in Florida. The van has scheduled stops as far north as Connecticut before it drives back down to Louisiana and Texas, then heads west to New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California, and then up to the Pacific Northwest, Utah and Idaho, and Colorado.
Arc flash mitigation products and equipment life extension solutions that transform vintage or older equipment into virtually new equipment are highlighted during the tour. Schneider Electric said the van will feature the Square D Masterpact™ circuit breaker test unit; innovations in industrial electronic board repair and power monitoring solutions; and a monitoring system to detect failures in switchgear bus connections. The tour offers free lunch-and-learn educational seminars for facility managers and maintenance professionals about arc flash, facility safety, and equipment life extension options.
"The Square D Services and Solutions van is a unique, hands-on approach to educating maintenance staff and facility managers, within reach of their respective cities, about Schneider Electric’s product and service offerings," said Mike Rice, senior vice president of Projects and Services for Schneider Electric. "It offers a convenient opportunity to learn about the products and services available to easily and affordably update outdated equipment into modern technology, helping create a safer, reliable, energy efficient and more cost-effective manufacturing environment."
