NSTB Sets Three-Day Hearing on San Bruno Incident
The March 1-3 public hearing will gather additional factual information about the Sept. 9, 2010, pipeline rupture and ensuing fires.
The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a three-day public hearing March 1-3 to gather additional factual information in its investigation of the natural gas pipeline rupture and explosion in San Bruno, Calif., on Sept. 9, 2010. The hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m., will be open to the public, and will take place in the NTSB board room and conference center in Washington, D.C.
The hearing will be telecast at http://www.ntsb.gov/Events/hearing_sched.htm. Expert witnesses will be invited to provide sworn testimony, and several organizations will be granted "party status" to the hearing so they can question the witnesses directly.
