Two Chicago firefighters have died and 14 of their comrades were hurt when a wall collapsed Dec. 22 as they fought a multi-alarm fire inside an abandoned commercial building on the city's South Side, according to media reports.
The Chicago Tribune and WGN TV reported these deaths occurred on the 100th anniversary of the Union Stockyards fire that killed 21 of the city's firefighters.
