Star Power: Actor Jimmy Smits Tapes DOL Spots
TV and radio public service announcements featuring the actor will run on local stations in English and Spanish later this fall.
The U.S. Labor Department's Oct. 15 e-newsletter reports film/TV actor Jimmy Smits recorded several public service announcements for the department last week. "His message: workers need to know their rights, make sure they are paid what they earn, and be vigilant about safety on the job," according to the newsletter.
The PSAs will be run on local radio and TV stations across the country in English and Spanish beginning later this fall.
