Former USS Cole Commander to Keynote 75th Safety Communications Event

The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International, an organization of 15,000 members who manage, operate, maintain and supply the communications systems used by police, fire, and emergency medical dispatch agencies throughout the world, is holding its 75th Annual Conference and Exposition at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Las Vegas Hilton Aug. 16-20.

More than 5,000 public safety communications officials are expected to attend the event, which will include more than 90 educational sessions and "supersessions." The U.S. Navy's Commander Kirk Lippold (Ret.), who was commander of the USS Cole, will keynote the conference. The expo will feature new products and services from more than 350 companies.
