Virtual Expo Offers Genuine Planning Tools

While there are still a few days before the actual traveling begins, AIHA and ACGIH have enabled attendees to virtually head to AIHce 2009 by visiting www.aiha.org/expo2009.htm. There you'll find tools useful not only for planning your time and setting schedules for booth visits during the actual conference but also for "visiting" participating companies by categories and viewing press releases, new product information, and announcements of show specials.

In addition, the Virtual Expo includes a floor plan of the Expo Hall and a diagram of the Toronto Convention Centre with information about the locations of AIHce events; where to find transportation pick-up, drop-off, and shuttle-bus services; a layout of the meeting rooms and exhibit halls; and other information related to international travel and customs.

To create your own Expo Plan, simply click on "My Briefcase" on the left navigation bar at the Virtual Expo site, and scroll down to "Create Your Login."

You can also search for courses, educational sessions, presenters, topics, committees, or events by going to the conference's main Web site, www.aihce2009.org, and choosing "Education Program, Program Planner."

Once you arrive in real life at the Toronto Convention Centre, you will be able to use the Cyber/Message Centers located in the Expo to see who is attending the show, to confirm business meetings and social plans, and to keep in touch with family and friends at home. Again at the show's main Web site, select "Conference Services, Tools You Can Use."
