Open to children ages 5 to 14 whose parents or relatives are ASSE members, the contest aims to educate children on the importance of being safe at work and on what their parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles do as OSH&E professionals working to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
Reflecting the international reach of the contest, the winners ASSE announced in each of five age groups on Friday hailed from Alabama, New Jersey, Virginia, Canada, and Kuwait.. All winning works will be featured on the official poster for NAOSH Week, which runs from May 4-10. In addition, the winners all receive savings bonds and gift certificates. All entrants receive a prize and are invited, along with their families and all ASSE members, to attend the ASSE poster contest awards ceremony at the U.S. Capitol and the NAOSH kick-off events to be held at the U.S. Department of Labor and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., Monday, May 5.
