NIOSH Poster Provides Tips for Spray-on Truck Bedliner Work
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is making available a poster that provides helpful tips on protecting workers from the hazards of isocynate exposure during spray-on truck bedliner applications. The poster reminds workers of appropriate personal protective equipment during such work and the importance of washing the hands and face afterward.
"Got everything covered?" the poster asks. To ensure the answer is yes, the poster includes a simple pre-spraying checklist reminding workers daily to wear a full-faced supplied-air respirator, use a peel-off shield, wear a full-bodied suit and chemical-resistant gloves, and make sure the ventilation system's filters are clean.
