OSHA Revamps Publications Page Just in Time for Holiday Shopping

OSHA has unveiled a new Publications page on its Web site at http://www.osha.gov/pls/publications/publication.html that allows visitors to access the agency's resources in an efficient and user friendly way. Assistant Secretary of Labor Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., said the redesigned page is one of the most popular pages on the OSHA site, receiving "more than 300,000 visits per month."

Based on feedback from OSHA customers, the new design has a more user-friendly look and feel for those looking through agency's extensive number of safety and health products. Visitors may now search by the publication number or keyword; from an alphabetical listing; by industry or topic, and by type of publication. In addition to new releases, the revamped page highlights publications "Recommended by OSHA" that may be of interest, as well as a "Most Frequently Viewed OSHA Publications" option.

Visitors may order up to 25 copies of up to five publications using the new ordering capability. This feature is similar to "shopping carts" found on commercial Web sites and helps visitors keep track of the publications they are ordering and the number of copies ordered.
