New Webinar Identifies What Motivates Different People Types

A new webinar scheduled today at 10 a.m. CDT, titled "Optimizing Motivation Reach and Effectiveness through Research-Based Design," will discuss the latest findings uncovered by a recent national poll suggesting that the "right stuff" to motivate some employees may not be "stuff" at all.

The one-hour event is being presented by Maritz Inc., a St. Louis-based provider of integrated performance improvement, incentive travel, and market research services, and will feature panelists Jennifer Kallery, Director, Marketing and Business Intelligence, Maritz Inc.; Tammy Smith, Director, Market Intelligence, Maritz Inc.; and Marla Chupack, Moderator, American Marketing Association.

Discussion will cover six different segments of people identified by the polls and what did or didn't motivate them. According to the poll, tangible awards are number one for many employees, but, more than anything else, others said they want flexibility, freedom, praise, and access to top management.

In addition, attendees will be given tips on how to select appropriate awards and design an awards structure to best meet the needs and aspirations of a diverse workforce. Many emerging trends will also be identified, such as the increasingly individualistic attitudes of younger-generation employees.
