DuPont's ThermoMan Comes to Mexico; Protera Arriving Soon

DuPont's ThermoMan exhibit visited Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, this week to show the benefits of Nomex, a world-renowned fire-resistant fabric first introduced 40 years ago.

The ThermoMan demonstration given in the city was the typical high-flame test inside a glass cage, with 122 sensors measuring the thermal performance and protection levels, DuPont announced on its Web site.

"Through this exhibition, we can demonstrate the great security performance that Nomex provides. It has become a lifesaver in many markets," said Carlos Mejia, leader of DuPont Advanced Fiber Systems for North Latin America. DuPont will soon introduce its Protera protective line in Mexico, Mejia said.
