More Exhibitors than Ever Buy Space at ASSE's Expo in Orlando

The American Society of Safety Engineers' 2007 Exposition at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., has set a new record for the number of exhibitors and space sold, exceeding the record set last year in Seattle, as well as previous years in New Orleans and Las Vegas. The Exposition, held with the annual ASSE Professional Development Conference (PDC), began Sunday, June 24 and runs through Tuesday, June 26 in the West Hall of the convention center on International Drive. Other conference activities--all focused on occupational safety, health, and the environment--last through Wednesday, June 27.

Exhibitor square feet sold for the 2007 Orlando expo was 57,950 square feet, outpacing its record 52,780 of square feet sold for the 2006 Seattle expo, ASSE said. About 400 companies are exhibiting at the Exposition including Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association, colleges, and much more. Many are launching new products and providing interactive exhibits.

Occupational Health & Safety is attending the event and will report more live news from the showroom floor. Stay tuned.
