ASSE Picks New England Area Director

ASSE announced recently that Eric M. Stager, CSP, IHIT, will fulfill the term of Jim Charlton II, CSP, as New England area director through June 2008. Stager, of Mansfield, Mass., is the past president of ASSE's Greater Boston Chapter and is the ASSE Industrial Hygiene (IH) Practice Specialty administrator.

Stager will be responsible for the leadership and administration of six chapters: Greater Boston, Connecticut Valley, Granite State, Maine, Nutmeg, and Worcester County. He also will be in charge of the annual New England Area Professional Development Conference (PDC) that is held each winter.

A project manager at OccuHealth Inc., Stager has spent the past 13 years working in the safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) field, has served for more than three years as the chair for the PDC planning committee for the IH Practice Specialty, and has served as president, president-elect, vice president of communications, vice president of chapter development and recognition, and program chair for the Greater Boston Chapter.
