NIOSH Asks for Input on NORA's Next Decade
NIOSH posted a document March 12 saying it welcomes input as it works with partners to identify research needs for the next decade of the National Occupational Research Agenda, also known as NORA. The agency has set up an online page for comments: http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/nora/comments.html.
The agency said an initial list of targeted research priorities has been developed. They include: work life health; increasing the number of well-trained OHS practitioners, researchers, and clinicians; dissemination and integration of knowledge into the workplace; respiratory diseases; musculoskeletal diseases; traumatic injuries; hearing loss; identification of work-related injuries and illnesses through better surveillance methods; work organization illnesses and injuries; and special population issues related to occupational injuries and illnesses.
