ACHMM Accepting Nominations for 2007 Awards

The Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers has opened nominations process for its 2007 National Awards Program, which honors outstanding achievements by members and chapters. The awards ceremony will take place during ACHMM's National Conference, Aug. 12-15 in Washington, D.C.; the nomination deadline is April 20.

There is a new award this year for best chapter newsletter. "On an annual basis, ACHMM recognizes its members and chapters for their innovative and exceptional work to promote ACHMM, the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager credential, and the environmental, health and safety community," said Jeff Rothwell, CHMM, ACHMM Awards Committee chair. "Once again this year, the ACHMM Award Committee is seeking ACHMM members to nominate their colleagues and their chapters for their 2006 achievements."

In 2006, more than 50 individuals and 20 chapters received awards. For more information about the awards and application process, visit the Awards section of www.achmm.org.
