OH&S and VPPPA Present: Preventing Dangerous Falls From Heights



This webinar will take the attendees through a process of completing a fall hazards risk assessment, identifying often overlooked exposures that are common to general industry.  The fall hazards will then be reviewed to identify program requirements/recommendation such as inspection and training. 

The program elements will be incorporated into a written program.  Additionally, the written program include a policy statements, training, audit and inspection, records management, etc.

Following the webinar, attendees will have the foundation for developing their fall protection program.

Speaker:

John P. McCroskey, is a Division Environmental, Health and Safety Manager with Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services, with over 35 years managing various aspects of safety programs.

In his current role, John has oversight responsibilities for several business areas that provide technical, scientific and professional services to its defense, federal, international, and commercial customers worldwide.

John took the lead for the company’s Fall Protection in 2002 and has developed numerous programs to address compliance, training and auditing.

One program that he is responsible for is the fall protection train-the-trainer course that he personally delivers to company employees to ensure quality competent persons oversee and train employees working at heights. This program is a “Best Management Practice” for which he considers one of the significant accomplishments of his career.

John is an OSHA VPP Special Government Employee (SGE).
