An unfortunate reality in the fall protection industry is that fallen workers are often found on the ground with harnesses on. In many cases, appropriate PPE is available, but proper anchorage options are lacking. One thing is clear—being tied off does not equal fall protection. This presentation will focus on OSHA requirements, but will also cover best practices from the ANSI Z359 fall protection standards.

The presenter will discuss the important engineering aspects of anchorage strength, and the safety considerations of fall clearance, policies and training. Participants will also learn about the appropriate role of a Qualified Person.
